![]() My feeling is that it might be possible if XP is installed first, then Win7 but I didnt try this I could not get this to work so abandoned this. However this did not work and I concluded that because the XP system drive was F:\ rather than C:\ the HDS installer tried to install stuff to C:\ which was actually part of the Win 7 installation. After quite a bit of work I had HDS set up. Then I tried a dual boot XP/W7 configuration. ![]() Then I tried a virtual XP installation using VirtualBoxĪlthough everything appeared to install OK I just couldn't get communication with the car so eventually I gave up I concluded that it is MVCI is the issue not HDS so I abandoned this attempt I originally had a Windows 7 installationĪlthough HDS would appear to install fine the MVCI drivers that came with the cable do not. Thanks also to joooe who gave me encouragement along the way. This is HDS 3.101.015 running with the X-Horse cableįor the benefit of anyone interested these are the steps I took. ![]() ![]() Today I installed HDS on an old laptop (Dell D620) and it seems to work fine ![]()
